Bringing the health benefits of Thai massage to Chester.
Our senior therapist was trained in Thai Massage at the Royal Monastery Wat Pho which is globally recognised as the premier school for Thai Massage. Sabai Chester's signature treatment is the promotion of the benefits of Thai Massage for long term inner health and well-being. Thai Massage was developed by Buddist Monks in India over 2000 years ago spreading as a part of the Buddist religion throughout Asia. Within Thailand, the Indian stretching principles were influenced by Chinese medicine creating a new form of specific to Thailand. The aim of this therapy to to achieve harmony and inner peace whilst enhancing the body’s ability to heal and to promote better health and well-being. Although, Sabai Chester can offer Thai Massage on a couch, we highly recommend that a client uses one of our traditional Thai floor pads.
BENEFITS:Many of our clients in Chester recognise that the Thai massage can be both mentally beneficial from simply taking a pause from modern life in addition to the actual immediate physical benefits which can include relieving headaches, relieving body pain including back pain, improving flexibility, improving posture and reducing body tension which naturally leads to a reduction in stress and anxiety thus improving sleep and general well-being. Most importantly to us, first time clients begin to comprehend their own bodies..in terms of recognising the physical stresses that have built and are carrying around in daily life.
THE PROCESS:Typically, a client stays in loose, comfortable clothing. The therapist will follow specific lines in the body positioning the receiver in various yoga-like holds, manipulating the receivers body into different positions and gently applying pressure in a rhythmic logical sense to work every part of the body. This would include identifying specific tension filled 'knots' in the back and neck and applying pressure to the open the knots.
Prices include use of the steam room and showers.
